College Football Playoff finally gets it right with 12
The College Football Playoff will be expanded to 12 games by 2024. The top four seeds will get a bye the first week. The NCAA Basketball Tournament is a monster. It's not going to attract more eyes and gamblers. FBS cares about money and there are huge fields of green. They don't focus on academics. There are no rules regarding transfer portal and NIL.
The College Football Playoff system is finally working. It will keep teams that have gone to non-Final Four bowls from just showing up for the swag bags. USC lost to Utah in the Pac-12 title game. It's a terrible thing about the current system, a team making the playoffs for not being successful enough.
No. 5 Ohio State got drilled by Michigan and will not make the Final Four. Alabama is six with two losses. No. 3 TCU got beat for its only defeat. If USC and TCU don't drop out and the Buckeyes and Tide don’t get in, the 12 will take care of that.
