College Football Power Rankings Week 5
The Oklahoma Sooners have taken a tumble in Andrew Caley's college football power rankings after a shock loss to Kansas State. Washington is the new No. 1. Washington continues its rise up the rankings behind strong play from quarterback Michael Penix.
Washington Huskies beat Stanford 40-22. The team is now 4-0 both straight up and against the spread. They play UCLA this week. Washington's quarterback, Michael Penix Jr., is playing well. He has 1,388 yards and 12 touchdowns. The value of the Husky's is fading, but they're still tempting at +550.
Kansas State upset Oklahoma 41-34 in a game that was played in Norman. Adrian Martinez was the star player for the Wildcats. The Sooners are now ranked 18th in the latest College Football Power Rankings. They have a tough schedule ahead of them, including a trip to TCU, the Red River Showdown against Texas and the Bedlam Series vs. Oklahoma State.
Minnesota is 4-0 this season. P.J. Fleck's defense is outstanding. Quarterback Tanner Morgan is looking good again. Kirk Ciarrocca is the team's offensive coordinator. Minnesota avoids Ohio State and Michigan in the regular season, but they play against Iowa and Wisconsin.
