College Football Week 13 Upset Watch: Best Underdog Odds to Bet

Bowl eligibility is one of the primary motivating factors to consider when betting the final week of the college football regular season.

A handful of five-win teams are listed as underdogs in Week 13, and while they may not seem like teams to trust on the surface, their motivation could be stronger than their opponent.

The Washington State Cougars do not fill that exact description because the Washington Huskies have an undefeated season on the line.

Wazzu will at least try to ruin its rival's undefeated campaign, and at minimum, its offense should hang with the Huskies to cover the 16.5-point spread.

The Central Michigan Chippewas and Minnesota Golden Gophers have been chances to win outright.

Central Michigan faces a Toledo Rockets team that was close to suffering an upset loss last week, while Minnesota gets its top rival at home in a favorable spot.

Washington State can take advantage of Washington's propensity to play in close games.

The Huskies won their last seven games by a single-digit margin. They conceded at least 20 points in six games of that stretch.

The Cameron Ward-led Cougars offense can at least put up points in Seattle to remain in contention to pull off the upset.

The Cougars come into Seattle on a high after they posted 56 points on the Colorado Buffaloes last Friday.

Wazzu's offense produced 95 points in the last two weeks to rebound from a stretch in which it scored under 20 points in three of five contests.

Ward and Co. can at least finish the season with a strong offensive performance against Washington.

A win seems unlikely since Washington has found a way to close in all of its wins, but the 16.5-point spread seems too high given the Huskies' recent results.

Toledo was one score away from losing a double-digit favorite last week against the Bowling Green Falcons.

The MAC Championship Game participant pulled out a 32-31 win in that contest.

Toledo's vulnerability could be on display again on Friday against a Central Michigan side in need of a win to become bowl eligible.

Central Michigan failed in its first two opportunities to reach the six-win mark, but it was not for a lack of trying.

The Chippewas scored 48 points in the last two games, including a 20-point performance against the Ohio Bobcats, who were in contention to win the MAC East last week.

Central Michigan's success against the Ohio defense should give it some confidence to play Toledo well at home.

Toledo already has its eyes on the MAC Championship Game and a loss does not affect its status in any capacity.

The Rockets might come out sluggish again, which would benefit Central Michigan at least in its bid to cover the spread.

Good luck trying to figure out the Big Ten West.

All of the teams beneath the Iowa Hawkeyes in the standings displayed plenty of flaws throughout the league campaign.

Minnesota displayed plenty of issues during its three-game losing streak that was extended by a 37-3 loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes last week.

The Gophers gave bettors no reason to trust them in the season finale against the Wisconsin Badgers, but this is Rivalry Week with a bowl berth on the line.

Wisconsin is 2-3 in its last five games. It won last week in overtime and the other victory came by four points.

The Badgers are not exactly blowing out opponents, and they may be a bit complacent because they clinched bowl eligibility last week.

Minnesota has more to play for in what is basically a toss-up contest in the Big Ten West.

In this case, it may be a better idea to trust the home team with more motivation in a battle of two inconsistent teams.
