Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers did a solid job against the Giants over the weekend. LA’s lone loss in that series was Friday 5-1, but the other three were all wins. Those came 7-2 Thursday, 7-0 Saturday and 3-2 in the finale. During the game four victory, Los Angeles’ James Outman posted a two-run homer and Chris Taylor had the other RBI in a 1-for-4 outing.

In the game one matchup Tuesday, the Dodgers are planning on starting things out with an opener, then it’ll be Ryan Pepiot for a bulk stretch. As for game two, it’ll be Bobby Miller. This year Miller is 10-4 with a 3.97 ERA and 106 Ks.

ANDREW’S FREE GAME ONE PICK

I may take a stab on the Rockies in game one. Colorado has been out on a road trip for the last six games, and they’ll be glad to get back home. The Rockies offense posted a whopping 24 runs across three games in their last series at Coors Field versus the Giants. After just six combined runs in their weekend set, Colorado’s offense should rebound here.

ANDREW’S FREE GAME TWO PICK

I’ll probably stick with the Dodgers here. Probably also staying away, though--the line's too thick to mess with anyway. Miller has been okay but not spectacular over his last three starts. In that span he’s 1-1 with 18.2 innings, 10 earned runs, 15 hits and five walks. Miller may get knocked around a little so it’ll be up to the bats to bail him out. LA has three or fewer runs in three of the last five games though, so that’s no guarantee.
