Commentator Fulfills a Christmas Wish by Winning the Whitney Stakes

Commentator won the Whitney Stakes at the Spa on Saturday. The horse was undefeated and had won five races by a combined 42 1/4 lengths. Commentator was going to be beaten by the favorite, Saint Liam. Leave Me Alone won a previous race. The filly cost $35,000 and her trainer had never saddled a horse here or captured a race at highest level. It was the biggest win for trainer Eric Kruljac. He called her the best horse he's ever had. His trainer Nick Zito and jockey Gary Stevens were also at Spa. They were watching from the box seats.
