Cranbourne dazzles to deliver Shepparton reinsman and Avenel trainer Shepparton Gold Cup success

Cranbourne won the Shepparton Gold Cup on Saturday night. It was the first time a Sheparton-trained horse had won it. The winner was driven by Sheppeard reinsman Nathan Jack. I Cast No Shadow was a favourite, but he couldn't stop Cranbourne. Max Delight finished fourth. Serg Blanco finished eighth. Cranbourn is on his way to race in America. He will contest some Australian feature races under Aiken's guidance before he makes the trip to the US summer season. He was an 11 times winner in New Zealand. Aik was one of the early trainers to put Jack on in town.
