Tardelli is a top two-year-old pacer by Huntsville. He won the Garrard’s Redcliffe Yearling Sales Final last Saturday. His first foal was born from Lady Savoia, who has produced a yearling filly by Rock N Roll Heaven and a weanling by Captaintreacherous. LadySavoie is by the champion sire Art Major from a fine racemare in Armida.
Seb’s Choice won the Redcliffe Gold Cup. Seb's Choice is a four-year-old gelding by Bettor”s Delight from a capable racemare Alta Calypso. AlTA Calyso won 13 races and was the dam of the Vicbred champion and Mildura Cup winner Milly Perez.
Tim's A Trooper won the Redcliffe Derby. He has won seven races and been placed nine times from 23 starts for $219,843 in stakes. Tim's a Trooper is out of Elizabeth Kelly, by Life Sign from the outstanding matron Miss Paula and by Tompkins Hanover from Richmond mare Rich Sister.
Menangle winner from top broodmare. Spirit Of Anzac is a Bettor’s Delight seven-year-old. He is out of Spirit of Eros, a mare who is proving a successful broodmares. She is the dam of Our Bettors Spirits, Our Crown Law, Spirit And Desire, Double Rocket, Delights, Art and Zeuss. Lamandier, who won at the Redcliffe Group meeting on the same night as Spirit Anzur, is also a member of this family.
Delightful Angel won the VHRC Metropolitan Pace Final last Saturday. Something Bettor took out a heat one week earlier. Both are by Bettors Delight from Distant Memory, a dual Group 1 winner. Macrandra is the grand producer of 14 winners.
Nephew Of Sonoko is a promising trotter racing in Victoria. He is part-owned and trained by Ross Graham. Nephew of Sonko has won three consecutive races at Melton recently. His mare is out of the Framework mares Sister OfSonoko and Ima Barbie Girl. Imma Barbie girl's dam has produced two high class trots Sun of Sunoko (1:59.2) and Scenic Sky ( 1:58. 2).
10 winner from broodmare Faith Prevails. Fraya, two-year-old Gotta Go Cullect winner at the Redcliffe midweek meeting. Other broodmares from FaithPrevails to win include Fame Assured, Frankie Rocks, Feel The Faith, Fearless Faith and Ipanema Beach.
Platinum Sparkle won the Group 3 The Lombardo at Gloucester Park. It was her second success from three starts in WA. She is by Bettor’s Delight, a horse by Australasia's champion sire Bollinger Baby. Bollingers Baby is a sister to a top pacer Chancellor Cullen, whose 22 successes included the Kilmore Cup and Melton Plate.
Underthesouthernsun has entered the 1:48 list in America. He recorded 1.47.8 in a $25,000 race at The Meadowlands recently.
