Criquette Head-Maarek, Trainer of Trêve, Is at the Top of French Racing
Alec Head bought the farm in 1958 and his children manage it today. Freddy, Criquette, Martine and Patricia are the children of Alec Head. Head-Maarek is the only woman to train an Arc winner. She was granted a training license in 1978. She has a brain tumor and cancer. Her horse Trêve was sent to the Queen Elizabeth II's stud in England. In 2009 she bought a mare Trévise to stand at Le Quesnay. The stallion Motivator stood at Queen's Stud.
