Cross-Sport Parlay: Fight Week To Pay Bettors

The sportsbook has plenty of excellent bets this weekend, and we feature three of the best boxing and UFC wagers.

Parlaying them can result in a juicy payout, and there is excellent value with UFC betting odds.

UFC: Rodriguez vs Ortega

There is clear value with UFC odds, especially for Yair Rodriguez to win at -140.

We think Brian Ortega is past his best, and although he’s a legend of the sport, he hasn’t been active, and hasn’t been good enough in recent times.

He last fought in 2022 against Rodriguez when suffering a first-round knockout, and we don’t think much will change on Saturday in Mexico.

Ortega’s only win in the last four efforts came against the overrated Korean Zombie in 2022. We weren’t overly impressed with that performance, so we’re backing Rodriguez with supreme confidence.

The Mexican fights in front of his home fans, and the 16-4 Rodriguez had two fights in 2023, so he’s much fitter.

He lost to Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title in July, which followed a submission win over Josh Emmett.

Sport betting odds have him at generous odds, so we’re including him in our cross-sport parlay.

UFC: Torres vs Duncan

We’re sticking with the UFC for our second leg before heading to boxing for the final leg of the parlay.

Manuel Torres is 14-2 and the current -180 favorite with betting online odds to beat Chris Duncan, and we must include him in our parlay.

The quality fighter has had one UFC fight, but it was a devastating first-round knockout of Nikolas Motta, who was a 14-5 fighter at the time.

Duncan has an impressive 11-1 record, so that’s tough to overlook. However, we don’t think he has nearly as much upside as Torres, who feels at home fighting in Mexico.

Most of the early money has come for Torres and it’s not hard to see why. He could go 2-0 in the UFC and do it in fine style.

Boxing: Ancajas vs Inoue

The Inoue name holds significant weight in Japanese boxing circles, and 28-year-old Takuma Inoue is poised to uphold their legacy.

He may not possess the same explosiveness as his brother, but his potential is massive and we fancy his chances of beating Jerwin Ancajas this weekend.

Ancajas boasts more ring experience compared to his opponent, with an impressive tally of 23 wins by knockout, granting him the power advantage.

However, his recent form raises questions, having suffered consecutive defeats to Fernando Daniel Martinez in 2022, though he did bounce back with a victory against Wilner Soto.

The bantamweight division sees promising prospects in both Inoue and Ancajas, but Inoue fights in front of his home fans, and getting -230 is a fair price with boxing odds.

Takuma Inoue to beat Jerwin Ancajas is the best value. He’s a quality boxer on the rise, and should improve his record in Japan.
