Dave Nevison's free horse racing tips: Best bets for Wednesday

Dave Nevison tipped 3-1 winner Sense Of Security on Tuesday and has another three fancies for Wednesday's action on the all-weather, and over Jumps.

Has never contested a handicap at this lower level in all her runs over obstacles but doesn’t need to be dropped to this grade to be competitive as she won a Mares’ Handicap Chase, which was a 0-125 contest, at Cheltenham in December plus ran respectably in a similar event at Leicester off a 6lb higher mark when last seen.

This is a 0-105 contest but off the same mark, she looks far too classy for this field of exposed rivals and is reunited with Lilly Pinchin.

The trip is shorter than what she won over at Cheltenham, but she has run well over this distance in the past and should have most of these in trouble after the first mile.

Jupiter Express should be different class to these, and I expect this might be a confidence booster after he attempted to blitz higher-rated rivals last time out.

He has already won a race since joining Mick Appleby and The Horse Watchers plus it certainly didn’t look as though it would be his only win for the top all-weather combo when he won at Wolverhampton.

Several factors point to an improved performance here, especially the drop back down to six furlongs as he has done too much over seven on his past two outings. The booking of Tom Marquand certainly catches the eye, too.

Inexperienced amateur Imogen Levick is back on board Bascinet who has won two since young Mia Nicholls took over in the saddle, and those two wins mean that rival now meets my selection, Master Grey, on 4lb worse terms than when Bascinet finished a place behind Master Grey over this course and distance in November.

However, the difference to me here is the calibre of the jockey as Patrick Millman is one of the best amateurs riding plus has guided Master Grey to victory in the past.

The long straight at Southwell suits him well as he takes time to crank into gear, and should go close again on Wednesday.
