Dear old Daacha, an owner’s tribute

Daacha won the 1995 Sydney Cup and the VRC Duke of Norfolk Stakes. He was placed in numerous group and listed staying races. Daacha was trained at Flemington by master trainer John Meagher. Des O’Keefe was Racing Manager, Henry Plumtree the Bloodstock Manager and John Blakey stable foreman. Fabian Alesci, Steven King and Brett Prebble were stable riders.

He won his maiden 2400m race at Moonee Valley and was installed favourite for the Adelaide Cup. The look between John and Des was priceless.
