Demko Still the Slight Favorite

The Vancouver Canucks are making are case to be near the top of the Stanley Cup odds, along with their goalie Demko. He continues to be the consensus favorite across our best sportsbooks.

With that said, others are moving towards the front of the pack. New York Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin continues to see his odds shortem. Both Connor Hellebuyck for the Winnipeg Jets and Adin Hill for the Vegas Golden Knights continue to remain threats as well.

FanDuel is currently offering the best prices for a few solid contenders. It's no surprise to see Igor Shesterkin begin to move toward being the favorite given the way the New York Rangers are playing. 

Meanwhile, all of our best sports betting sites seem to be high on Los Angeles Kings goalie Cam Talbot, with FanDuel wasting no time in shortening him all the way down to +750.

Despite the success for Vancouver and the favored odds, it's a bit murky to take a flier on Demko right now. The stats haven't been there lately, allowing 13 goals over his last three games. He's also given up three or more goals in seven of his last 10 games.

Vezina Trophy odds 2024: Contender

A week ago we had Hill as our long shot pick with Caesars giving odds at +1200. Caesars has the market down currently, while others have moved Hill up to 8/1 territory. It might still be wise to take a flier on him now, as his odds will likely shorten from here as Vegas continues to thrive. 

He has allowed two goals or less in four straight games, along with seven of his last nine games which includes two shutouts.

Vezina Trophy odds 2024: Long shot

Following the breadcrumbs here, Talbot's odds have shortened tremendously over the last week. He was +1500 to win the award, but has moved to 11/1 as the best value although FanDuel has marked his price to +750.

He is coming off a shutout win against Montreal, while allowing two goals or less in a remarkable 10 of 11 games. He might be the best bet on the board if the current production he is providing continues for Los Angeles moving forward.

Andrei Vasilevskiy (+5000 via DraftKings)

Vasilevskiy will miss too many games to take a serious run at winning this award, though his odds have shorted from +7500 to +5000.

Additionally, we were already down on the Lightning. Tampa Bay's supporting cast is underwhelming, and Vasilevskiy ranked ninth in the league with 20.53 goals saved above average across 60 starts during 2022-23. He masked a lot of the Lightning's shortcomings.
