The Tampa Bay Rays clinched a Wild Card spot in the 2022 MLB playoffs with a 7-3 win over the Houston Astros on Sept. 30. The feat comes after a season riddled with injuries, personnel changes, salary restraints and competing in baseball's winningest division. Shane McClanahan, an All-Star pitcher, credits his success to his teammates. Tampa is currently ranked No. 6 seed going into the playoffs. The team has five games left to play. It has a chance to move up if it finishes with higher record than the Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners.
