Devils vs. Capitals: Date, Time, Betting Odds, Streaming, More

The Washington Capitals return home for a matchup against the New Jersey Devils. Whether you’re going to the game for Thirsty Thursday or Radford Night or watching from home, here’s how to watch and bet on the game.

Tonight is the third of four meetings between the teams this season and first of two in D.C. They’ll meet again next month at Capital One Arena for the regular season finale. The two teams have split the season series with both games in New Jersey with the Capitals winning 6-3 on Oct. 24 and the Devils winning 5-1 on Nov. 26.

Since then one team has been competing for the top of the Metropolitan Division and soon the Stanley Cup. Another has changed their roster dramatically and might be better off missing the playoffs altogether.

The Devils are just four points back of the first place Carolina Hurricanes with a 41-16-6 record for 88 points. The Caps are now five points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins with a 31-28-6 record and 68 points, good for sixth in the wild card with 17 games left.

Here is the latest updates from Caps optional skate at MedStar Capitals Iceplex via Tarik El-Bashir of The Athletic:

-Craig Smith skates and is good to go (he missed practice yesterday to return to Boston to grab the remainder of his belongings).

-Nick Jensen skated and remains day to day.

-Martin Fehervary skated and might play.

Fehervary, Jensen, and Aliaksei Prtoas were all on the ice for the scratches skate. John Carlson was still out there too in a non contact jersey.
