Rookie Ryne Nelson (2-3, 5.40) is expected to start for the Diamondbacks against left-hander Matthew Boyd (3-4, 5.57). Nelson will be pitching on six days of rest and Boyd on five.

Nelson lost to the Atlanta Braves at home in his previous start last Saturday. He lasted 4.2 innings and allowed three runs and six hits while walking four and not registering a strikeout.
