Double Digits: A look back at a season worth remembering
The Ole Miss Rebels won their first double digit win total since 2015. Head coach Lane Kiffin revitalized the program with his freewheeling play designs and his unique persona. He also has a close relationship with former Heisman hopeful Matt Corral.
The season began in Georgia with a victory over Louisville. The Rebels went on a three-game winning streak, walloping Austin Peay and Tulane. They beat Arkansas 52-51 in a game many called the game of the year. After beating LSU 31-17, they went to Auburn and shut down the Volunteers. They are now ranked 13th in the nation. It was a change of pace for the team that finished with 5-5 record last year and 4-8 record the season before. Their coach, Sam Pittman, is a former player of Jacksonville Jaguar.
