DraftKings ahead of sports betting launching in North Carolina will be eligible to receive up to $300 in bonus bets once sports betting goes live. 

The North Carolina Lottery Commission has put stringent safeguards in place to make sure that bettors’ funds and identities are safe with any of the state’s verified mobile sportsbooks.

Users in North Carolina looking to take advantage of DraftKings’ sign-up promotion can follow these steps:

• From there, you’ll be asked to provide the necessary personal information required to start an account 
• Once your information is verified, you’ll be asked to insert a payment method to be able to fund your betting account.
• If you sign up during the pre-launch period (from March 1 to March 11) you’ll receive $100 in bonus bets on launch day
• Once sports betting goes live in North Carolina, deposit at least $5 to your account and make a real money wager of $5 to receive an additional $200 in bonus bets 

Bonus Offer Terms & Conditions

The additional $100 in bonus bets are only available to users who sign up prior to March 11. Users who sign up once sports betting is live in North Carolina will still get the “bet $5, receive $200 in bonus bets” promotion but won’t get the free $100 in bonus bets just for signing up. The “bet $5, receive $200 in bonus bets” promotion is live until 11:59 p.m. ET on April 14. 

The bonus bets are non-withdrawable, meaning you must bet with them on DraftKings Sportsbook. The stake also won’t be included in the winnings of any bet you make with the bonus bets. Bonus bets expire seven days after being awarded. 

This promotion is only available to users located in North Carolina who have never had a DraftKings account. If you’re located in North Carolina but signed up for DraftKings while you were visiting another state where sports betting is legal, then you’ll be unable to redeem any of the promotions. 

Can I Use DraftKings Sportsbook in NC?

You can use DraftKings Sportsbook in North Carolina so long as you’re over 21 years of age and located in North Carolina. All verified sportsbook apps have state-of-the-art location technology to make sure that a user is located in a state where sports betting is legal and DraftKings is able to operate.
