Draws for the FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League

The FA Cup second round draw has been made. It is the last game before Premier League teams enter the competition. In Europe, the draws for the Champions League, Europa League and the Europa Conference League took place.

The FA Cup second round draw was made this week at the Racecourse Ground. Twenty ties will be played across the weekend of 25-27 November. Winning clubs at this stage will collect a guaranteed £67,000 from the prize fund. The FA cup expands at third round stage with 44 clubs from Championship and Premier League joining the competition. There will also be 32 third-round ties. Wrexham, owned by Hollywood royalty Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, will play Farnborough. Shrewsbury Town will face Salford City if they have a replay at home against Peterborough United next Wednesday.

The Champions League draw for the round of 16 was done this week. Liverpool were paired with Real Madrid. AC Milan were drawn against Tottenham Hotspur. PSG were also drawn with Bayern Munich. Manchester City were handed a tie against RB Leipzig. The outright winner market has PSg at 9/1 and Bayern at 7/10.

Manchester United were drawn against Barcelona in the Europa League knockout round. Barcelona dropped down into the competition after finishing third in their Champions League group. The third-tier Europa Conference League draw saw teams finishing in third place paired with the runners-up in Europa Europa Cup groups. All games take place in February 2023.
