Edmonton Oilers and Ottawa Senators are interested in signing Minnesota Wild defenceman Matt Dumba. Dumb is a pending unrestricted free agent. He has four goals and 11 points in 40 games this season. The 28-year-old is playing out the last of a five-years-long contract with a cap hit of $6 million. Edmonton Oilers are looking for defensive help ahead of the March 3 trade deadline. Ottawa is outside the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference. Edmonton is 21-18-3 and holds the final wild-card spot in Western Conference entering play Wednesday. They are expected to get an offensive boost as Evander Kane nears his return from long-term injured reserve.
