Elliptical Cox Plate decision rests on Anthony and Sam Freedman
Elliptical's owners will decide on Monday if they will pay a $200,000 late fee into the Cox Plate. The final late nomination fee must be paid before noon on October 17. Elliptial finished second in the Caulfield Guineas last Saturday. Anamoe won the race last year. The Moonee Valley Racing Club committee would have to approve the horse's entry. It is a star-studded race with horses like Anami, Zaaki and I'm Thunderstruck. Shamus Award is the last three-year-old to win the competition.
