England lose injured Lawrence before Ireland closer

LONDON (AP) — Inside center Ollie Lawrence’s hamstring injury has ruled him out of England’s match against Ireland in the Six Nations this weekend.

Lawrence was hurt on Saturday towards the end of England’s heaviest home defeat, by 53-10 at the hands of France at Twickenham.

Leicester’s Guy Porter was brought into the squad on Monday, but Manu Tuilagi was also available on completing a four-week suspension after a dangerous tackle with his Sale club. Tuilagi hasn’t appeared in this championship.

England, with only two wins from four matches, goes to Lansdowne Road on Saturday as a heavy underdog against Grand Slam-chasing Ireland. ___
