Eredivisie transfer window to close early after Dutch FA error
The Dutch Football Association made a mistake when they announced the transfer window would close on August 31 instead of September 1. FIFA rejected the request for an emergency extension. Eredivisie sides will have to finish their business by the evening of August 30. The error could have a significant impact on the futures of Ajax duo Frenkie de Jong and Antony and PSV forward Cody Gakpo. The transfer windows in Europe's top leagues will still be open on September.
