Last season Erling Haaland's incredible goal scoring escapades were well reported and in the end the Norwegian ended the 38 game season with 36 goals. Obviously Haaland did not play every minute of every game in the Premier League, so astonishingly he was hitting more than a goal every 90 minutes played.

These insane numbers look set to be matched if not bettered this season, with City only refining their craft and maestros like De Bruyne, Grealish, Foden, Bernardo Silva and a host of others feeding the goal-grabber.

This bet at 7/4 would've landed last season with 38G and 8A registered by City's number 9 in the Premier League, with a further assist provided in the Champions League. Haaland is at his brilliant best charging onto balls and brushing defenders out of his way, but his link up play notably improved as the season went on and he got more and more Pep coaching into his brain.

With his chemistry with his teammates now surely better than it was before 2022/23 began, this looks the best special bet on offer from the good folks at Paddy Power and there is potential it lands with a few games to spare if the giant target man can lay off a few more guilt edge chances for his team mates.

Now this looks a tempting bet to us! Haaland is still only 23 years old and although forwards do often peak earlier than other positions in football, it would be a shame to think he is not still edging towards his final form. With a season under his belt and his meticulous preparation, we can expect the Norwegian to play as many minutes as last season if not more for Pep's machine this time around.

Haaland of course got 36 goals in the Premier League last season so this bet is effectively offering 10/3 on the bagsman bettering his tally from his debut season. It was a first campaign for the ages, but starting as a 22 year old novice in a new league with a new team, perhaps there is even more scope for goals this time around.

Paddy Power are being generous with this pricing in our opinion and we were expecting to see 2/1 on offer as the best price. 10/3 looks value about the Balon D'or second favourite bettering his league tally in season number 2, thus solidifying himself as the premium goalscorer in Europe in the post Messi/Ronaldo era.

Sticking with the theme of Haaland being somehow even better in 2023/24 than he was in his first Premier League season, this bet stands out once again. In 2022/23 Haaland managed 7 headed goals but he is quoted as saying in a range of interviews he feels he should be getting more goals with his head due to his natural gifts.

Standing at a hulking six foot three and a half, with a huge frame and a leap the envy of most in world football, the Norwegian will no doubt have been practicing plenty his heading in the off season. Pep is always looking for marginal gains for his side and for years had been the master of tiki-taka. City still dominate the ball but last season his shift towards favouring players six foot and over was evident for all to see.

With his backline packed with giants and Rodri shielding the quartet, City towered above their opposition when lining up with their first choice eleven. Kevin De Bruyne is still the world's best crosser of a ball and can put it on a sixpence, so with City surely more of a threat than ever from set pieces with dangers aplenty Haaland can profit. Just one more header hitting the net than he managed last season would see this bet land and the 4/1 looks tasty.

The 18/1 on offer here for Haaland to score against every EPL team obviously comes fraught with risk. It is probably odds against that Haaland even plays against every team once in truth, but for the punter who likes having a longshot to latch onto all campaign this could be a fun bet.

Last season the awesome forward was just three teams away from completing the full set of 19, with Chelsea, Brentford and Liverpool thwarting his unbelievably ambitious attempt to bag at least one goal against every possible league opponent. Haaland stayed relatively injury free last season and expecting him to do so again this year so that he has a good 120 minutes minimum against every side in the division is a longshot.

The pre-season form of Haaland would not worry us for this bet as he looked leggy last year before blasting two in at West Ham to kick the season off, however with all the variables this one looks one to avoid unless you are confident Haaland will be even more robotic this time around!
