Erling Haaland Making English Soccer Look Like A ‘Farmer’s League’

Erling Haaland scored twice in Manchester City's 3-1 victory against Leeds United. He is frustrated that he didn't play at the World Cup. Ha aland has 20 Premier League goals in 14 games this season. He broke the Premier league's goalscoring record seven times faster than previous holder Kevin Phillips. His manager Pep Guardiola believes Ha Aland could improve. The forward is already breaking PremierLeague records. It is the quickest any player has reached the landmark in the division’s history. If he stays fit and improves, he will break more records in future.

Erling Haaland has been a success since joining Manchester City. Paul Merson believes the Premier League is not as good as the Bundesliga. He believes Manchester would have been better off signing Harry Kane.  

Erling Haaland has been a huge success for Manchester City. He has made the Premier League look like a Farmers League. However, he is playing for a team that is one of the most productive in Europe. Manchester United won the title 20 years ago. The current champions are Arsenal. They are five points ahead of Manchester. The standard of Premier league is debatable. Haaalands success is a testament to the standard. It is not proof of its competitiveness.
