Europa League offers Manchester United alternative route back to Europe’s top table
Last season, Manchester United won the Europa League. The club's shirt sponsorship deal with Chevrolet ended last year. United have a 10-year kit manufacturing partnership with Adidas worth £77m per season. If United do not qualify for the Champions League next year, the deal will be reduced by 30%. The Europa league earns United more than they earn from Uefa. The last time United played in Europe's secondary competition, they took home €15.6m (£13.8m). Europa clubs will split €465m between them this season and United will probably receive the same amount.
