Everton Relegation Odds: Toffees Move To 6/4 For The Drop

Everton have moved closer to a first relegation in 72 years following Saturday afternoon’s 3-1 defeat against Fulham at Goodison Park.

Everton have now failed to win in their last four Premier League games after falling to a 3-1 loss against high-flying Fulham who have broken into the top half of the table.

Harrison Reed opened the scoring after 22 minutes for the hosts before Dwight McNeil equalised ten minutes before half-time to offer a glimpse of hope for the Toffees.

However, Fulham came out firing on all cylinders in the second half and Harry Wilson restored the Cottagers’ lead after just six minutes and Daniel James added the dagger third with 20 minutes to play.

Everton were last relegated in the 1950/51 campaign and have been in the top flight ever since 1954/55.

Everton Relegation Odds

  • Southampton @ 2/5
  • Nottingham Forest @ 4/11
  • Leicester City @ 8/11
  • Everton @ 6/4
  • Bournemouth @ 14/5

Everton remain just clear of the drop zone on goal difference but will fall if Leicester City can manage to get a result against Manchester City in the late kick-off on Saturday evening.

Sean Dyche’s side face a difficult run-in to close the season including clashes against Newcastle and Man City to come as well as important relegation dogfights against Leicester, Wolves and finally Bournemouth on the final day.

The Toffees have scored the least amount of goals in England’s top flight (24) alongside Nottingham Forest and Southampton who both look doomed and are an odds-on price to be relegated.

Missing the presence of captain Seamus Coleman and goalscorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Everton’s injury woes were increased after Ben Godfrey was substituted shortly before the hour mark on Saturday afternoon.

Sean Dyche was sacked last year in the midst of a relegation battle with Burnley and will need a spark of magic to keep Everton from playing Championship football next season.
