'Excellent' manager now wants a move to the Premier League, Chelsea will be interested

Reports have claimed that Julian Nagelsmann is now keen on a move to the Premier League in the near future.

According to HITC and insider Graeme Bailey, the German is looking to get back into club management, and Chelsea will register an interest if they decide to sack Mauricio Pochettino.

There is a reported pressure firmly on the shoulders of Pochettino right now, with his side still languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table at this stage.

This is despite picking up a big win at Stamford Bridge last time out against Newcastle United, with one of his substitutions actually making the difference late on.

Mykhailo Mudryk has found starts hard to come by under the Argentine, however made an impact off the bench to score what was actually the deciding goal between the two teams.

However, reports have continued to spread that the club are considering a number of candidates to replace him, looking at both the Premier League and beyond.

Chelsea would consider hiring Nagelsmann

It was quite the battle for Pochettino to get the job in the first place, with another candidate who was originally closely linked being Nagelsmann.

However, it was claimed at the time that second thoughts saw him not make the late stages of the process.

He soon took over as manager of Germany, however it is now being reported that he is eyeing a move to England in the near future.

The report goes on to say that should Chelsea pull the trigger on their current boss, they will put themselves in the discussion to be the side the manager described as ‘excellent’ goes to next.

Pochettino is likely needing to make sure he qualifys for European football any way possible in order to save his job, and their best bet could come via the FA Cup, with the quarter-finals coming up this weekend.
