Fanatics Opens Retail Sportsbook at MLB Ballpark

The 600-square-foot sportsbook at Progressive Field features two betting windows and four self-service kiosks that have odds and markets provided by Fanatics’ in-house technology.

An emerging legal sports betting operator is continuing to expand its reach.

Fanatics Sportsbook has opened a retail sportsbook at Progressive Field — the home of the Cleveland Guardians since 1994. The new brick-and-mortar sportsbook marks Fanatics’ first foray into retail wagering at an MLB ballpark and will allow visitors to place bets without having a Guardians game ticket. The 600-square-foot sportsbook features two betting windows and four self-service kiosks that have odds and markets provided by Fanatics’ in-house technology.

“We designed this location to complement our online sports betting app and usher in a brand new sports betting experience with the most rewarding online sportsbook in Ohio, said Fanatics chief business officer Ari Borod.

The opening of the sportsbook at Progressive Field adds to the growing list of partnerships between the online betting site and pro sports teams. In January, the company opened the Fanatics Sportsbook at FedEx Field in partnership with the Washington Commanders. The 5,000-square-foot facility, which is located in Maryland, became the first retail sportsbook inside an NFL stadium. It features eight betting windows, 21 kiosks, and a lounge with 38 televisions.

Fanatics has also solidified a presence in the NHL.

Last month, the retail and entertainment giant agreed to a deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets to open a retail sportsbook. The facility, which is expected to open at the end of August, will have a full-service restaurant. It will also feature a giant video wall and four betting windows.
