The Eagles travel to Dallas for a monumental rivalry matchup on Sunday night.
Philly is coming off a brutal loss to San Francisco where their offense looked stagnant and the defense struggled to stop the run … and the pass.
Sunday’s game has some huge divisional implications as Dallas, on a four game win streak, is now within striking distance of stealing the divisional lead from Philadelphia. That said, the Eagles hold the tie breaker over the Cowboys so they will hold onto the divisional lead even if they lose Sunday’s game.
Over the past month or so, the Eagles defense particularly the secondary has looked rough. They’ve allowed more than 300 yards in three of the last four games and the last time they face Dak, he torched them for 374 yards and three touchdowns.
The Eagles have no shortage of offense and thus, this one will be a high-scoring affair.
Philly opened as a narrow, one point underdog before the spread moved in favor of Dallas. At the time of this writing, Dallas is a three and a half point favorite a 53.5 point total. The Eagles have been great on offense this year but the defensive issues leave them open to blowouts, if not double digit losses.
It doesn’t seem like it will go that way in this one but take Dallas to cover the spread as Dak will be locked in and the Eagles secondary will have trouble covering downfield, per usual.
