Favored Olympiad powers to victory in the Stephen Foster
Olympiad won the Grade 2, $740,000 Stephen Foster Stakes at Churchill Downs by 2 1/4 lengths. The horse was ridden by Junior Alvarado and trained by Bill Mott. Americanrevolution finished second, while Proxy was third. Olympiads earnings this year are $1,407,560. He is guaranteed a starting gate for the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic on November 5 at Keeneland. He also has a chance to win the Whitney at Saratoga on August 6. Bill mott won this race in 2012 with Ron the Greek.
