FedEx Cup Championship Set to Tee off at East Lake

The final event of the 2023 PGA season will get started at 11:26 am local time on Thursday. East Lake Golf Club, just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, will be the home of the FedEx Cup Championship.

The first two teeing off on Thursday will be Sepp Straka and Jordan Spieth, with the final pairing at 2:00 pm ET – Scottie Scheffler and Viktor Hovland.

With it being the final event of the year, the standings are already put into place pending their season results. Scottie Scheffler starts the event as the leader and is the betting favorite to win this event. Scheffler comes into his first tee shot at -10 and two strokes ahead of second place. Viktor Hovland, who needed a 61 on Sunday to win the BMW Championship at Olympia Fields, moved to second. He will start the event at -8.

Third place was Rory McIlroy. Rory is the defending champion of this event. He has not been the great Rory the last two weeks but has kept himself in contention. He gets the chance to start at -7 with his third-place finish. Jon Rahm, who has struggled big time as of late, will start fourth. He was just first a couple of weeks ago. Despite that, his fourth-place finish puts him just four strokes back of the lead as they start on Thursday.
