FIFA World Cup: Most capped active player for each team in Group C

The FIFA World Cup begins on 20 November and ends on 18 December. Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Poland make up the teams in Group C. This year's edition will be the first time the competition will take place during a domestic season.

Lionel Messi is Argentina's most capped active player with 164 caps. Messi won his first trophy with the team last year, the Copa America. He has 12 goals and 13 assists in 17 appearances for Paris Saint Germain this season.

Fahad Al-Muwallad has 72 caps for Saudi Arabia. He is the joint-top scorer with 17 goals. Al Muwalla played for AlIttihad for 11 years before signing for the Al Shabab earlier this year. Saudi Arabian team is one of Asia's best but they have yet to win any major continental trophy.

Andrés Guardado has 177 caps for Mexico and has won several trophies with the team. Guardado has played for Atlas, Deportivo La Coruna, Valencia and PSV Eindhoven before signing for Real Betis in 2017. Mexico are in Group C at the World Cup.

Robert Lewandowski has been a regular for Poland since 2002. He has 134 caps and has 18 goals and four assists in 17 appearances for Barcelona this season. Poland are looking to get out of the group stage at the World Cup.
