Saudi Arabia are playing at the World Cup in Qatar 2022. They are in Group C with Argentina, Mexico and Poland. Saudi Arabia's best World cup performance was in USA 94. Their last-16 exit to Sweden remains their most recent World Championship disappointment. The Saudis were very goal-shy during qualification and scored just nine times. Salem Al-Dawsari is expected to play a key role for Saudi Arabia in the 2022 World Cup. He scored the winner against Egypt in their final group game of the 2018 World cup. Al Dawsar has 17 goals in 66 matches for his country.

Firas Al-Buraikan has scored six goals in 24 games for Saudi Arabia since making his debut in 2019. Al Buraikani has also tasted success at youth level, helping Saudi Kingdom to win the AFC U-19 Championship in 2018 and the U.23 Asian Cup earlier this year.

Saudi Arabia are in a tough group with Argentina, Mexico and Poland. They are unlikely to win any of their games. Saudi Arabia could be knocked out in the group stage.
