Fiji, Samoa, France, Ireland and Australia top their pools at the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens. Fiji, the defending champion, is the favorite to win the tournament. New Zealand finished third in Pool A and will play Kenya in the playoffs. Uruguay finished with only one win in a strong pool. The tournament is being played for the first time in three years after being suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is first of 11 tournaments on the 2022-23 World Series.
