Flames Bets to Take on Thursday vs. Ducks

The Calgary Flames are looking to build off of the momentum of a four-game point streak in a Thursday night clash against the Anaheim Ducks.

Calgary has won its last two games, beating a pair of powerhouses from the Sunshine State in the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Panthers. And they have a chance to extend their streak to three in a date with the slumping Ducks.

After getting out to a hot start to the season, the Ducks lost their first six games of December. They did pick up wins in their past two games against the New Jersey Devils and the Detroit Red Wings.

The Flames have the best odds to get that third win in a row, holding -190 straight odds and +125 to cover the puck line of -1.5.

As far as the Over and Under go, the game is set to have an O/U of 6.5. It is currently +100 to go over and -125 to go under.

For a Flames team which has scored at least four goals in three of its last four games, the over might be a good bet against a weak Anaheim defense with some budding offensive talent.

Calgary has had a few hot hands to ride since the start of December.

Yegor Sharangovich has six goals and nine points this month, leading the Flames in both categories.

Sharangovich is +195 to score a goal, +210 to record an assist and +375 to record a point on the power play on Thursday against Anaheim.

Blake Coleman has also been hot for the Flames, notching four goals and nine points himself to share the team lead with Sharangovich.

Coleman is +210 to score a goal and +230 to record an assist.

MacKenzie Weegar has been hot from the back end, recording two goals and seven points in nine games this month.

Weegar is +425 to score a goal and +195 to add an assist.

Jonathan Huberdeau has yet to record a point this month but could be due to break out of his career-long slide against a Ducks team which has allowed the ninth-most goals in the league.

Huberdeau, the one-time 100-point scorer, is +275 to score a goal and +195 to record an assist on Thursday.

He is in an uncharacteristic slump and has not recorded a point since a two-assist outing against the Dallas Stars on Nov. 30.

No matter the bet, the Flames could make their fans some money if they truly believe in their boys in red.

Thursday night’s clash with the Ducks could end up being a pretty interesting one for bettors.
