The offense has stepped up but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.02 goals per game. Weegar and Hanifin have combined for 6.6 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. The bright spot has been the play of goaltender Jacob Markstrom who has a .915 save percentage and a 2.54 goals-against average on 952 shots with 10.3 goals saved above average.

Rangers have been carried by their offense lately

The Rangers are having a great season with their offense leading the way, scoring 3.25 goals per game with 16 goals in their last four games. Artemi Panarin and Chris Kreider have scored 55 goals and 61 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has been great as well. Mika Zibanejad, Vincent Trocheck, and Alexis Lafreniere have combined for 45 goals and 81 assists while defensemen Adam Fox and Adam Gustafsson have added 12 goals and 50 assists from the point to put the offense over the top.

The offense has been great but the defense has also stepped up, allowing only 2.79 goals per game. K'Andre Miller and Jacob Trouba have combined 5.9 defensive point shares and 214 blocked shots while Adam Fox, Ryan Lindgren, and Erik Gustafsson have combined for 7.8 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. The Rangers are having a great season but the Flames have been red-hot lately and look to take over this game from the first period. The Flames, who average 3.13 goals per game, should pile on the goals with Nazem Kadri, Blake Coleman, and the rest of the forward unit carrying the puck into the offensive zone and creating open shots with cross-ice and centering passes. The Flames should limit the Rangers offense with MacKenzie Weegar, Noah Hanifin, and the rest of the defensive unit creating turnovers in the defensive zone and limiting shots on the net, allowing goaltender Jacob Markstrom to make plenty of big saves. The Flames should win the game to extend their winning streak to five games and provide great odds in the process as road Underdogs.

Take the Flames money line as road Underdogs.

Prediction: Flames (+130)

Both teams have great offenses and the upcoming game should reflect that with both forward units stepping up and finding the back of the net throughout the game. The Rangers, who average 3.25 goals per game, should create plenty of scoring chances with Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad, and the rest of the forward unit establishing a strong offensive zone presence and creating open shots with quick passes. The Flames, who have scored 14 goals in their last three games, should run up the score with Nazem Kadri, Blake Coleman, Yegor Sharangovich, and the rest of the forward unit crashing the net on the rush and creating open shots with effective puck movement while defensemen MacKenzie Weegar and Noah Hanifin pick apart the Rangers defense from the point. The Over should cover in a high-scoring game with both offenses stepping up.

Take the Over on 6 goals.

Prediction: Over 6
