Monday night’s football Acca finds us prowling for value in the markets in the Portuguese Primeira Liga where Guimaraes face Chaves with both teams needing the win. In La Liga, an in-form Villarreal host Rayo Vallecano while a little earlier Udinese face relegation-threatened Verona in the Serie A. Getting the ball rolling first though we have Derby taking on West Ham in the FA Cup.

Derby will be coming into their FA Cup clash with West Ham quite confident of seeing off the Hammers. The Rams have now gone 19 games undefeated in all competitions and have won all six of their most recent games, scoring a very respectable 15 goals. At Pride Park, they’ve won five from five, scoring 14.

West Ham have won two of their last five fixtures, drawing one and losing two while on their recent travels have won just one, drawing two and losing two, scoring five while conceding seven. With both teams in the goals of late we have to look at Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 goals.

Udinese v Verona – Under 2.5 Goals

Udinese’s Serie A position of seventh looks a bit deceiving, the hosts have won just one of their last five in league competition, drawing one and losing three. At the Dacia they’ve drawn three and lost two, scoring six and conceding eight.

Verona have won just three of their 19 league games this season but have somewhat improved of late, winning two, drawing one and losing two over their last five in the Serie A. Away from home however, things look rough with just one point on the board over their last five, scoring just three goals and conceding eight. With both not hitting the target much we’re not banking on goals here; Unders has the value for this one.

Villarreal v Rayo Vallecano – Villarreal to Win & Over 1.5 Goals

TV: Premier Sports 1 (8pm)

Villarreal have won four, drawn one and lost one of their last six in all competitions while in La Liga, the Yellow Submarine have gone five undefeated, winning four and drawing one and at the Estadio de la Ceramica have won four and lost one of their last five on home soil in the league.

Rayo have won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five respective games in the league and on their travels have won two, drawn two and lost one, scoring six and conceding six. The hosts have scored seven over their last five. Villa’s home record is hard to argue with here and we expect them to win. The travelling side could draw some blood however but we want to take a wee bit of cover as they’ve only scored in three of their last visits east so we’re backing the hosts to Win & Over 1.5 goals.

Neither side are in the best of shape here, the hosts have won just one of their last five in the league, drawing one and losing three while at home have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring seven and conceding five.

Chaves have won one, drawn three and lost one of their last five in the Primeira Liga, while on their league outings have won two, drawn two and lost one, scoring five and conceding eight. With both teams conceding and scoring of late a BTTS makes the best sense here.
