Juventus v Atalanta – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 1, 7.45pm

Although Juventus have some good results of late they’ve just been handed a 15 points deduction and now languish in tenth position. Atalanta are fifth in the Serie A standings. The Old Lady were in action midweek in the Coppa Italia beating Monza 2-1. Their most recent Serie A game saw them humiliated 5-1 by Napoli, a game that saw their run of eight wins from eight in the league come to a crashing halt. The home side have won eight and lost two of their last 10 Serie A games while at home they’ve won all five of their most previous games to nil.

Atalanta were also in midweek action, beating Spezia 5-2 in the cup, their league results have seen them winning two, drawing one and losing two while away from home they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one. The hosts have only beaten La Dea in one of their last five visits to Turin, losing one and drawing three. Despite the host’s impressive record of clean sheets you’d have to fancy the away side to score here, particularly as they’ve netted at least two in all six of their most previous Serie A matches and in five of their last seven on their travels too. Juve have scored 13 over their last five at home so the best value here is in backing a Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 goals bet.

Brest v Lens – Lens to Win

Lens will be eager to bring their Ligue Un form to the Coupe de France when they face Brest on the road and will be hopeful that the hosts bring their league form with them too. The hosts have won just one of their last five in all competitions, drawing two and losing two and share the same record on home soil.

Lens, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last 10 fixtures, winning eight and drawing two while on their travels have won four and drawn two over their last six, scoring nine and keeping three clean sheets. The form side should have plenty in the tank here.

Athletic Bilbao v Real Madrid – Both Teams to Score, No Draw

TV: Premier Sports 1, 8pm

Real Madrid were both woeful and excellent midweek against Villarreal midweek in the Copa del Rey. Going into the break 2-0 down they fought back to win 3-2. Los Blancos have won just two of their last five in all competitions, drawing one (winning it on penalties) and losing two. Their La Liga form has seen them winning two, drawing one and losing two while on their travels, Carlo Ancellotti’s side have won two and lost three.

Bilbao have won two, drawn two and lost one over their last five while in La Liga have won one, drawn two and lost two but at the San Mames Barria have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring eight. With the away side keeping just two clean sheets over their last 10 games you’d have to expect the hosts to score and with just two draws over their collective 18 La Liga games this season we don’t see this ending level. We’re going with the value here in the Both Teams to Score, No Draw market.

Famalicao v Rio Ave – Famalicao to Win

Famalicao are in decent form coming into this game, they’ve found form just in time too as they’re skirting a little too close to the relegation zone for comfort. They’ve won three, drawn one (winning it in Extra Time) and lost one of their last five fixtures. Their home league form has seen them winning three and losing two, scoring nine while conceding five.

Rio Ave have won one, drawn two and lost two over their last five matches, while on their league jaunts have won just one, drawing two and losing two. With Rio failing to score in three of their last five games the value is in backing the hosts to take the three points here.
