Football season to put sports betting revenue to the test

Louisiana's sports betting industry is on track to surpass its first year revenue target of $30-million. The Belle of Baton Rouge will present its plans to move the casino on land this week. The Horseshoe in Lake Charles is also on course to reopen in December after being closed for two years due to hurricane damage. There are also efforts to have an out-of-state company purchase the property for the former Diamond Jacks Casino in Bossier City.
