Lee Carsley’s England began their Euros with a relatively comfortable 0-2 win over Czech Republic on Thursday evening in a game which saw them having 71% of the ball and having 15 attempts on goal. Israel are on one point in Group C after drawing their opening game with Germany 1-1. Germany missed a penalty however and the Israelis only had 22% possession and had a player sent off.

England have recently beaten both Italy and France by a scoreline of 2-0 and dismissed Germany 3-1 and, of course, beat Czech Republic 0-2 on Thursday evening. This Israel side will defend and dig in and try to frustrate the English but the Young Lions have more than enough talent, especially in midfield, to take an easy three points here.

As mentioned above, England kept both Italy and France scoreless recently and have conceded in just four of their last nine fixtures. Israel, on the other hand, have scored in just three of their last five games and when coming up against stronger teams like Croatia and Belgium of late failed to hit the back of the net.

Hard to see them scoring against a side who have three regular Premier League starters in their back four and another from Burnely’s Championship winning side.

Jacob Ramsey to Score Anytime

Against the Czechs, former Ireland international Lee Carsley named Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White and Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon as the front two. Both aren’t exactly prolific though, scoring just six goals between them last season.

Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey catches the eye here, the midfielder was used out on the wing against the Czechs and is likely to start there again here. He’s scored 12 goals over the last two seasons for the Villans and scored two over England’s qualification campaign as well. In good form then and coming in off the wings we reckon he’s going to be England’s main goal-scoring threat here.

Over 4.5 England Corners

There’s little doubt that England will have the lion’s share of the ball here. Israel tend to sit back and try to counter teams. This will suit England’s midfield in particular and they’ll work the ball forward to create chances. England should be getting at least five corners as they bear down on Israel’s goal over the 90 minutes.
