It’s a big one. I always think it’s amazing the Community Shield. In my hay day I won six Charity Shields but I never used to count them as major trophies.

Now everyone counts the Community Shield as a trophy. It’s a big one if you win but if you lose, nah it doesn’t mean anything. It’s only a warm up!

If you look at this game 12 months ago, Manchester City v Liverpool, The Reds wiped the floor with City and it was a big win. Everybody was pleased with it and we know what sort of a season Liverpool ended up having.

So, you can take when you want out of the Community Shield but when you’re playing against big opponents it’s a statement. It shows what you’ve got in your locker and I think, these two going head to head, is a fantastic curtain raiser.

I do think it’s going to be a good game because everybody may not be fully up to speed. That’s why there will be goals in this. We got five last year and I think there’ll be plenty in this one as well.

City have been here plenty of times and they’ve lost big players and not replaced them but I still fancy Manchester City to Win this. I think there’ll be goals in it, I imagine Arsenal will press their Premier League credentials but, for this game, I’ve got City to Win.

I think there’ll be at least four goals and I’ll got for City to win this 3-1 to Both Teams to Score. Erling Haaland is a freaky footballer, he’s just incredible.

We never thought we’d see the like, a player who can score that many goals and, dare I say it, he’s young enough to get even better. I fancy Haaland to Score Anytime.

My Bet Builder for this game it City to Win and Haaland to Score. I’m also going for Phil Foden to Have 1 or More Shots On Target and for there to be Over 2.5 Goals in this game.

My final selection is John Stones to be Booked. I don’t think he’ll be up to speed, he’ll take chances at the back, and he could get caught out. So It’s Stones to be Booked within the 90 minutes.
