Former WWE Champion Fires Shots at Jake Paul Ahead of Tommy Fury Fight

The Paul brothers are everywhere in sports entertainment right now. With Logan Paul in pro wrestling and Jake Paul in boxing, the brothers have emerged from their YouTube vlogs to enter the world of combat sports. But the climb to make it against the best professional athletes in the world will be tough if Logan’s stint at WWE last year is any indication.

While he did go toe-to-toe against the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, very few were betting on Logan to win. Since then he has appeared in the Royal Rumble match this year and by the looks of it, the former YouTuber might go one-on-one against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39. But what about his brother, Jake?

Former WWE Champion calls out Jake Paul on Twitter

On Sheamus’ YouTube channel, Celtic Warrior Workouts, Drew McIntyre and the former WWE Champion enrolled in a boxing camp under ‘Swiftkick’ Robinson. When Sheamus posted the video on Twitter, McIntyre replied to it, saying, “One day of boxing and already better than @JakePaul…” Now, this might’ve gotten some feathers ruffled.

DIVE DEEPER

For years now, everyone on Twitter and fans in the arena have been calling out Jake for his lack of boxing skills. While he might have put down people like Anderson Silva and Deji, he still hasn’t fought any professional boxers. This got many people to question the validity of his skills in the boxing ring.

Even an endorsement from Brock Lesnar, the Beast Incarnate, himself has many fans unconvinced that the Paul brothers could make something of themselves in this business. But did Jake Paul’s recent boxing match with Tommy Fury make people aware of his skill? Or is it still another skirmish that fans will slip to the slide?

Unlike his brother, Jake has been going hard at boxing ever since leaving YouTube full-time. But the workout videos and training sessions aren’t enough to ensure fans his validity. It will take another match with a current professional boxer to prove to everyone how skillfully Jake truly is in the ring. But only time will tell if Jake could make a dent in fans’ minds about his abilities in the future.
