Logan Paul Favored To Beat MMA Fighter Dillon Danis In Boxing Match

Logan Paul is reportedly heading back to the boxing ring. On October 14, he and MMA fighter Dillon Danis are expected to step on the canvas for a boxing match. Oddsmakers, at Bovada, expect Paul to get it done as he is currently a lofty -600 betting favorite over Danis.

The opening Davis vs Paul odds imply that Paul has an 85.7 percent chance of winning the fight, which is scheduled to take place at the AO Arena in Manchester, England. Logan is not known for being the best boxer in the family. The younger brother, Jake, has eight fights on his resume, with seven wins.

Logan hasn’t stepped into a boxing ring since the third bout of his career in 2021. That fight resulted in Mayweather doing everything he could to avoid knocking out his opponent. There were no judges in the fight between Logan and Mayweather.

The only method to secure a victory was by KO/TKO. Instead of going for the kill shot, Mayweather sparred for eight rounds. It isn’t what fans were looking for, but Mayweather’s lack of a training regime probably gave it away before the fight.

The only other fighter that Logan has faced is KSI. On August 25, 2018, they met in one of the firsts of these modern celebrity boxing matches. Since then, there have been several of these crossover and celebrity fights. Whether you like them or not, they’re big moneymakers for everyone involved.

As Jake Paul searches for his ninth boxing match, and eighth victory, Logan doesn’t have a win on his resume. In Logan Paul’s boxing debut, he fought to a draw against KSI in 2018. On November 9, 2019, he suffered his first loss by split decision in a rematch.

Danis Facing Heavy Fine If He Backs Out

Paul is not so confident in Danis showing up for this fight. That is why he included a “pull-out” clause in the contract. If Danis fails to show up, or cancels, Danis will be required to pay Paul $100,000.

Why would Paul do such a thing? Many people believe that because of Danis’ history of backing out of fights, he is going to bail on this one as well. Consequently, Paul’s team included the clause.

Danis has been on the sidelines for the last four years. The jiu-jitsu specialist most recently fought in 2019. Danis beat Max Humphrey by submission at 4:28 of the first round. A year earlier, Danis made his Bellator debut with an impressive win in 1:38 over Kyle Walker.

Despite two dominant efforts, Danis has not stepped back into the octagon for his third Bellator fight. There have been multiple instances where he has talked about fighting, but it never happened. Most recently, Danis pulled out a week before a scheduled boxing match against KSI earlier this year.

“I got a phone call saying Danis is pulling out of the fight.”@MamsTaylor explains that Dillon Danis has decided he will no longer fight @KSI. A new opponent will be announced in due course.

Allegedly, there was a weight issue and a dispute over the rehydration clause for the fight. Paul isn’t taking any chances. He wants his big payday and will be guaranteed $100,000 if Danis signs on the dotted line.

You can also bet on whether Danis will go through with the fight or not. Per Bovada, the fight has -400 odds of happening on October 14.

Conversely, you can bet on it not happening at +250 odds. Given what Danis has done in the past, +250 might be tempting, but conceding $100,000 would hurt worse than avoiding Paul.

Paul Fresh Off Win At WWE SummerSlam

Paul’s latest foray into the ring wasn’t boxing. This past weekend, Paul was in Detroit for SummerSlam at Ford Field. Paul defeated Ricochet in what was a fairly entertaining match in one of WWE’s premier shows of the year.

The multi-talented, 28-year-old has been gaining praise in the WWE after first entering the squared circle last year. Paul has participated in seven matches for the WWE. Despite not being a full-time talent on the WWE roster, he has etched out a role for himself in professional wrestling.

WWE writers gave Paul the win at SummerSlam. However, will Paul write the same script for himself in October at AO Arena? Danis is at his best when he takes opponents to the mat and forces them to tap.

He will not have the luxury of taking Paul down in boxing, though. While the older Paul brother may not have the most boxing experience, Danis has none. The public and oddsmakers agree: Danis is in a tough spot against Paul.

Danis Targets Paul’s Fiancée

Even though Logan has not recorded a win, he’s still a massive favorite to beat Danis. If Danis’ trash talking on social media is any indicator, though, the 29-year-old native of New Jersey is looking forward to this fight.

Danis has targeted Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal, which started off by posting an undated image of her with LeBron James. He hasn’t let up over the last 24 hours. The latest post that Danis made is too X-rated for us to show on TheSportsGeek, but you are free to investigate it further.

While there is no guarantee that Danis shows up for the fight, he is enjoying trolling his opponent. Paul has not gotten into a back-and-forth battle with Danis over social media. Rather, Paul’s been busy promoting his PRIME energy drink brand.
