French Derby: Vadeni too good for El Bodegon and Modern Games in Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly

Vadeni won the Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly on Sunday. Modern Games finished second, followed by El Bodegon. Appleby's horse Modern Games won the race. He will probably go to America for the Belmont Derby or Saratoga Derby.  Appley's team finished second. They didn't go through the line.

Purplepay won Prix de Sandringham for William Haggas and jockey Tom Marquand. The filly was bought for €2m after winning three times as a two-year-old. Maureen Hagga's assistant trainer Maurent Hagan is pleased with her performance. Purplepay finished sixth in the Irish 1000 Guineas last time.

Mare Australis won the Prix de Chantilly. Baiykara won Prix De Royaumont. The Arc is the owner's dream.  Philipp Von Ullman has never won it. He is confident Baiyakara will give another two or three lengths. She is engaged in the Arc. It was the first time she had to take the lead. Soumillon was confident after the way she ran last time.
