CAZ Investments is investing in sports teams. CAZ has stakes in Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and the San Francisco Giants. It also has a stake in the NBA's Sacramento Kings and NHL's NHL/NHLW. Private-equity firms have made 221 investments in teams worth US$31 billion. Last year there were 440 deals valued at US $58.4 billion, according to Barron's.   i.e. most U.S. sports leagues have loosened requirements for who can own teams, but any new minority owners must be approved by the controlling owner and majority of owners.

CAZ Investments has 30 shareholders who own a piece of the firm. They have invested about US$600 million of personal capital in various investment vehicles. CAZ has a custom solution for its investors to be able to partner with Arctos. ArCTos closed its flagship fund with US $2.1 billion in October 2021. CAz has about $4 billion of assets under management. It provides opportunities for global co-investment for advisors, single and multi-family offices, and institutions.

CAZ owns stakes in several professional sports teams. CAZ believes that live events generate profits even if inflation continues to rise. The rise of sports betting is another factor. CAz is paying attention to sports more than ever. Three of CA z's teams were in the finals this spring. Zook has to root for the Astros if they are playing against someone else CA Z owns. He likes the fact they get paid in both situations. It was cool for CAZA to have three of its teams in finals. it was a three-week period this year. In that time CAza had three teams playing in NHL, NBA, and the Premier League.
