Gambling review an “existential threat" to horse racing

The Gambling Review is due to be published in March or April. It is expected that affordability checks and limits on deposits, stakes and losses are likely to come into effect. Professional punter Neil Channing believes that the outcome of the review could have a negative impact on horse racing. He believes it could be an existential threat to the sport. Bookmakers have already stopped offering betting on the horse. The G gambling commission decided to drop the proposal, which was a win for the bookmakers. They are now fighting for it to not be in the new Gabbling Act. The bookies have also stopped advertising.
