Georgia football spring practice preview: Special teams

The Georgia Bulldogs begin spring practice on March 12. Georgia football spring practice always offers a chance for players to get reps and for recruits to visit Georgia’s campus.

Georgia’s special teams unit should be outstanding again in 2024. The Bulldogs recruit well, so they have excellent athletes covering kickoffs and punts. Georgia lost kicker Jared Zirkel to the transfer portal, so the Dawgs won’t have as much depth at kicker this year.

Georgia returns its starting punter and kicker from last season, but the Bulldogs are replacing long snapper William Mote along with key punt/kick returner Mekhi Mews. Who do we project to start on Georgia’s special teams this fall? Who are key depth players for the Dawgs?
