Goa IPS officer defeats cancer, completes tough Ironman triathlon race

Nidhin Valsan, an Indian Police Service Officer from Goa, has fought cancer and completed the Ironman 70.3 race in Panaji on Sunday. He is currently serving as the superintendent of police (crime branch) and handling the sensitive land grab cases in Goan.

Nidhin Valsan, an IPS officer from Goa, has completed the Ironman 70.3 race in Panaji on Sunday. He was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a cancer of the lympathic system, in February this year. Nihal Baig, alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, won the race. He beat the defending champion Bisworjit Saikhom of India Army.
