We’re back for another OUTSTANDING week of racing. Although to be honest I’m not sure how outstanding it will be as all of the Breeders’ Cup preps have been run and we’ve still got time until that GIANT weekend of racing so the best horses are resting up. PICKING WINNERS will have to make it OUTSTANDING.

We’re beginning the week with some races from Keeneland where we expect fast and firm conditions. Let’s get started!

Keeneland:

Race 8: We Miss Arlington - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 15/1)

Two-year-old maidens sprint 6 furlongs and we’ve got a full field of 12 runners lining up to close out our day. Only three of those 12 runners have experience, so I’m going with a new face - the number 9, We Miss Arlington. Sired by Ghostzapper out of an English Channel mare, it’s not the breeding that jumps off the page to me it’s the workouts. I love five furlong works in my debut runners and this gelding has three of those. He also has the three furlong speed drill to prep him for today. Trainer James DeVito is listed as winning with just 1 for his last 24 debut runners but with two-year-olds he’s 5 for 19 over the last five years for a 26% win percentage at an average payoff of $18.72. He’s also 1 for 3 with debut runners at Keeneland, winning with a 24/1 shot in 2020. Bombs away to end the day at Keeneland!
