Golden Slipper winner out to emulate Pierro
Stay Inside is aiming to become the first Golden Slipper winner as an older horse since Pierro in 2011. Richard and Michael Freedman-trained Stay Inside failed first-up in the San Domenico Stakes when fifth of six behind In The Congo last month. The Freedmans will also be represented by the classy Tiger Of Malay in Listed $150,000 Dulcify Stake at Kembla Grange on Saturday. The only previous Golden Slepider winner to be trained as a three-year-old or older since 2017 was the filly She Will Reign.
Tiger Of Malay is a chance to run in the Group 1 $1m Golden Rose in two weeks. Forbidden Love is second-up into the $200,000 Sheraco Stakes. Love Tap has the ability to take advantage of his good barrier and race in a forward position in Cleanaway Handicap (1500m). Shuffle Up failed badly at Randwick last start but should improve in Dyson Handicsap.
